Three points to consider
First of all Brazilian Blowout is a brand of keratin. There are others keratin treatments out there but “Brazilian Blowout” has become ubiquitous for a keratin service, much like “Kleenex” is now the word for all facial tissue.
Second, all the keratin treatments out there have gone through a transformation in the past couple of years. The old formulas were a lot more effective due to the higher concentrations of formaldehyde or formaldehyde derivatives. The old formula treatments routinely lasted 3 months or longer. Unfortunately those days are gone. The new formulas are much safer but at a cost of effectiveness.
Third, keratin treatments are not straighteners. Keratin treatments make your hair smoother and much more manageable. Keratin treatments will however temporarily relax any natural curls and waves. The way I always describe keratin treatments is that if it takes you an hour to blowout your hair, then after treatment you can expect to significantly reduce that time. When time is money, the investment of a keratin treatment can save you hours of labor.
Ready to get your keratin treatment? Phoenix Twin salon offers keratin treatments using Brazilian Blowout. Our pricing goes according to the amount of product we use in your hair. The treatment is undiluted and used according to Brazilian Blowout standards. Price typically ranges between $100 and $140.
The journey to smoother hair
Once you decide to get the service you can expect to have your hair clarified to remove any residue from the surface of the hair shaft. The product is applied to damp towel dried hair section by section while combing to distribute evenly. Once the Brazilian Blowout product is thoroughly applied. The hair is blow dried and then flat ironed. Important to note that at this point where we apply heat to the hair, proper ventilation is necessary to provide a safe breathing environment. Chemical fumes if not handled properly can be most detrimental to us, the hair stylists. It is in our best interest along with your own to provide a safe service. The last part is to rinse the hair and re-blowdry the hair. You are ready to go once you leave the salon. No wait period with chemicals processing in your hair.
Maintenance of the hair includes staying away from water and shampoos that contain sodium chloride. We offer shampoos and conditioners that are safe for all keratin treatments. You will have to revisit the service every 10-12 weeks to maintain the safe level of smoothing condition.
